Anemia is the most common blood condition around the world. Anemia is a health ailment that takes place as a result of lack of red blood cells or hemoglobin and act as a transporter of oxygen to tissues in the body. People who suffer from Anemia tend to feel tired and fatigue and also they look pale and also some times feel dizziness and unconsciousness.

Women and people with chronic diseases are at increased risk of the condition. Important factors to remember are:
  • Women in the childbearing years are particularly susceptible to a form of anemia called iron-deficiency anemia because of the blood loss from menstruation and the increased blood supply demands during pregnancy.
  • Seniors also may have a greater risk of developing anemia because of poor diet and other medical conditions.

There are more than 400 types of anemia, which can be broadly classified into three categories:
  • Anemia caused by blood loss.
  • Anemia caused by decreased or faulty red blood cell production.
  • Anemia caused by destruction of red blood cells.

Depending up on the type of ailment different effective treatments are available now. Below are some of the effective anemia cure home remedies which are completely natural, has absolutely no side effects.( However consult your family doctor.)

  • Eating 3-4 apples daily without peeling off the skin and this helps in increasing iron content in the body and thus helps in iron-deficiency anemia cure.
  • Mix 1 cup beetroot juice and 1-cup apple juice together. Then add 25 ml of honey to it. Stir well and drink the mixture once a day preferably in empty stomach.
  • Consume a ripe banana with 1 tbsp of honey 2 times a day.
  • Drink a mixture of apple and tomato juice.
  • Eat a lot of green leafy veggies.
  • Consume honey, as it acts as a rich source of iron, copper and manganese and also it aids in increasing the hemoglobin levels.
  • Lemon and honey or apple cider vinegar are very beneficial when taken during early morning.
 
 
  • Drink daily: 2-3 cups of white cabbage juice. Cabbage is also considered to be an excellent home remedy for obesity.
  • Eat a lot of dried fruits, cooked lentils, meat, poultry, liver, lamb, dates and quince. Liver is the richest source of iron but it should be avoided in pregnancy because of the risk of excess vitamin A intake which could result in birth defects.
  • Indian Gooseberry, Emblica officinalis (Amala) is rich in vitamin’ C’ and iron and useful for iron-deficiency anemia and can be used in raw form or as pickles, chatney or Juice .
  • Add amala juice (Indian Gooseberry) and honey to sugarcane juice and drink everyday will improve red corporal count.
  • Mixed juices of leafy vegetables, juice of beetroot, cabbage, bitter gourd, apricot and grapes are beneficial for anemia.
  • Avoid caffeine or tea with meals.
Once anemia has taken hold, supplements of iron and vitamins offer the most effective treatment and in the case of pernicious anemia, injections of vitamins B12 is the most effective form of treatment.
